NHFRW DISAPPOINTED IN DESANTIS CAMPAIGN DECISION TO HOST TOWN HALL DURING THE HISTORIC LILAC LUNCHEON

CONCORD, NH -
The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women (NHFRW) released the following statement to express their disappointment with the DeSantis campaign for scheduling a Town Hall Meeting in Hollis in opposition to their historic Lilac Luncheon, featuring President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of The United States, scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in Concord.

President Elizabeth Girard states, "The Lilac Luncheon is the preeminent fundraiser of the largest grassroots Republican women's organization in the state and funds raised go directly to electing, educating, and empowering Granite State Republican women running for state and local offices. This attempt to pull focus from our Lilac Luncheon only diminishes the efforts of the Republican women in New Hampshire who are volunteers, working hard to provide opportunities for our membership to have access to all of the candidates."

"Other Republican Presidential Candidates coming to the state next week recognize the longstanding tradition of this special event and have graciously scheduled around it, allowing NHFRW and its members the opportunity to showcase all that we are doing for Republican Women in the First in the Nation Primary Process," notes Secretary Emily Tomasi.

"In twenty-five years of running Republican events in New Hampshire, including many Lilac Luncheons, it has always been a New Hampshire hallmark to be considerate when scheduling events. To have a candidate come in and distract from the most special event NHFRW holds in the year is unprecedented." remarked Events Director, Christine Peters.

In keeping with our Bylaws, the New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women is neutral in the Republican presidential primary, and we look forward to hosting all of the major Republican primary candidates over the course of this primary season.

We would kindly ask the DeSantis campaign reschedule their Town Hall to not directly conflict with the Lilac Luncheon and respect the efforts of our organization.

NHFRW CALLS OUT PAPPAS AND KUSTER FOR PARTY LINE VOTES THAT DISENFRANCHISE FEMALE ATHLETES

CONCORD, NH
- The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women released the following statement regarding Representatives Pappas and Kuster who voted last week against H.R. 734, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act:

"Chris Pappas and Ann Kuster sent a clear message to women in New Hampshire: virtue signaling and political agendas are far more important than protecting the rights of female athletes to feel safe, practice comfortably, and compete fairly for an opportunity to win on an even playing field," states President Elizabeth Girard.

First Vice President Kim Rice adds, "Contrary to what the Democrats would like us to believe, it's not bigotry or hate to recognize the physical advantages biological men have over women. Women can't win when men are competing against them. We as women will not be erased."

Seacoast Republican Women Club Member, Executive Councilor Janet Stevens says, "As a former distance runner, I sacrificed and trained hard to compete in some of the most prestigious road races across the country. The idea of having worked so hard only to lose to a biological male is both unfair and unacceptable."

The Democrats are dedicated to a new reality which aims to undo Title IX protections for women athletes, and would set women back fifty years in equality," notes Director Christine Peters.

Greater Manchester FRW Club President Maya Harvey, a former high school athlete, is disgusted by the lack of respect for young women who want nothing more than a fair chance to compete. She states,"With every woman athlete that's overlooked, every awardthat's stolen away, and every career ending injury that's delivered by a biological male in women's sports, we erode the opportunity and dignity of young, female athletes in the United States."

REPUBLICAN WOMEN WHO RUN FOR OFFICE SHOULD BE CELEBRATED, NOT ATTACKED BY MEMBERS OF OUR OWN PARTY

CONCORD, NH -
The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women (NHFRW) released the following statement following comments made by Rich Girard in a Union Leader article attacking the character and integrity of NHFRW Advisory Board Member, Victoria Sullivan.

"Victoria is a valued member of our Advisory Board who brings a unique perspective to the Republican Party and our organization. She spends endless hours working to elect Republicans, promote our message and empower more women to get involved. We are grateful for her leadership on our Advisory Board" said Director Christine Peters.

NHFRW State President Elizabeth Girard (no relation to Rich Girard) states, "We should be celebrating the women who ran for office in the past, those who will step up in the future and all of us who work hard to get our candidates elected. While Victoria's mayoral races results were not what she hoped, they were not "embarrassing" but rather learning opportunities. Victoria faced the issues head on and is still working to improve her city. These uncalled for remarks are a desperate attempt to diminish women who run for office and we are embarrassed for him.'

"Having the courage to run for office, especially multiple times, takes strength, confidence and determination. However, running for office while also campaigning for and supporting other candidates and balancing working, being a mother and an empowered woman in any capacity is extraordinary," adds First Vice President Kim Rice.

Bottom line: Sexist remarks, made by anyone, but especially members of our own party, in an attempt to intimidate women will not be tolerated by NHFRW.

NHFRW DENOUNCES UNFOUNDED ATTACK AGAINST LOCAL CONSERVATIVE MOM

Concord, NH -
The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women(NHFRW) released the following statement following the articles from the Union Leader, The American Independent, and other media outlets over the NSC ad featuring NHFRW Director, Christine Peters.

"The liberal media knows that Maggie Hassan has not been an independent voice for New Hampshire families or businesses, voting 97% of the time along party lines, oblivious to the concerns of her constituents. Democrats cannot deny the truth of the NSC ad, so all they have left is to attack the credibility of Amherst small business owner, mom, and empowered female leader,Christine Peters," stated NHFRW President Elizabeth Girard.

"Christine is a working mother, who like many other women in New Hampshire, is feeling the brute force of Democrat-led policies that spurred rising costs, rising crime, and record inflation. Instead of focusing on the very real issues facing Americans across the country, the media prefers to falsely identify and critique conservative women who are strong enough to speak up and take a stand," adds Seacoast Republican Women Club President Sayra De Vito.

NHFRW Director & House Majority Whip Jeanine Notter echoed the sentiment, "If the media wants to focus on working moms in NH politics, perhaps they should recognize their countless volunteer hours of knocking doors, making phone calls, and hosting events to support the campaigns of Republican candidates in the Granite State."

NEW HAMPSHIRE FEDERATION OF REPUBLICAN WOMEN STATEMENT ON SUPREME COURT DECISION

CONCORD, NH -
The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women supports the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe V. Wade.

As the Supreme Court Majority decision stated, Roe V. Wade was unconstitutional. In reaching this decision, the Court affirmed that laws should be initiated by legislators and not by an "abuse of judicial authority." Today, the right to determine law has been given back to the states where it belongs.

The New Hampshire Federation of Republican Women believes in a government by the people, and we will always support the power of each individual state to make decisions governing its own citizens, as the Constitution originally intended.
